Beginner Basics • NetBox 5 Initial Setup

Hello all,

Sorry for the newbie question (new to Mikrotik), but I'm banging my head right now. I have a new NetBox 5 that I'm trying to setup. I've powered it on and connected to the ethernet port. It's not giving out a DHCP address and the quick start guide says to connect to 0.0.0.0. Is this normal? Should it give out ip addresses to a computer connected to the ethernet port?
