This is as general question as it gets.
My Mikrotik router started acting up lately: pretty much any changes cause unpredictable results, i.e. if I turn UPNP on, I lose Internet as if my PPPoE stops working; recreating PPPoE fixes the problem, but causes firewall and NAT rules misbehave etc; deleting and recreating rules breaks DNS etc. Basically, it gets to the point where I afraid to touch anything even though I need to make some changes.
The only guaranteed way to fix it, obviously, would be to reset and start from scratch. However, I have pretty extensive config with multiple rules, Adguard container, CAPs, vlans, vpns and so on, so recreating everything would be slow and painful. Restoring from most recent backup likely won't help since it's just gonna bring the same problems back.
Is there any approach that would help fix the problem while minimizing the effort?
