Hi there -
I have been beating up the settings for a while now and have not been able to accomplish my desired outcome; without results, I am leaning toward the community for some thoughts/assistance.
I have a somewhat complex multi-site setup overall, but I have (2) different bridge(s) on my system for this discussion. The bridge of interest combines numerous EoIP Tunnels over OVPN from multiple site locations to allow for a singular subnet across sites. This is for hardware that doesn't work well unless under the same subnet. All of this works fine.
However, I also have a scenario where I need to connect some virtual boxes to this same subnet without using a physical interface, which I could easily throw under the bridge and solve the problem. As such, I want to set up a vLAN with ID-25 and have it obtain its DHCP address from the Bridge itself or in any other configuration that would work. I can set up normal vLANs without issues, but they all require an independent DHCP server. If I use the same address range on both DHCP servers, they'll be assigned, but of course, they will be unable to communicate.
I have circled round/round, trying different things to make it happen, and it just cannot be that difficult. Any feedback and advice is appreciated!
