So far, so good! I disconnected the "slave" from the (working) laptop and moved it into another room and hooked it to the Ethernet port of a desktop PC. It took a few moments for the computer to recognize the new network, but now it works like a champ. Rain in the forecast for the next several days, but the moment I can safely climb on the roofs of the respective buildings, the Cubes are going into place.
