Hi guys
i know this is an old thread and so far no one posted any clue, because there is nothing available on mikrotik tutorials...
so here is what worked for us after trial and error testing..
connecting ospf on different routerOS versions v6 and v7 togheter or even between v7 devices we have identified the same received wrong LS ack error... and after hours of checking and testing.. we noticed that the MTU was different on some VLAN interfaces and on some devices physical interfaces.. on one side 1500mtu and on other side 1520 and 1580 mtu which had been previsously adjusted for other things..
so once we aligned all MTU on all interfaces to be the exact same MTU on all VLAN interfaces, ethernet interfaces from the connected devices via OSFP... the error received wrong LS ACK error stopped..
this was what worked and fixed our problem.. so please to all having the same type of error, go check on all the OSPF connected devices for the MTU.. and L2 MTU they need to be the same exact on both end devices connected on OSFP.
Let me know if this worked for you guys also.. as we noticed this error previsouly on V7 connecting BGP to BNG devices hardware that were different.. then we had same problem connecting to another external CCR BNG2 device.. and in the end they all had differnet MTU on the ports which messes up on the OSPF and gave the error.
