Forwarding Protocols • EoIP - DHCP request problem

Hello everyone,
I have a problem with DHCP in the EoIP tunnel.

Side 1:

CHR Router
Ether1 in LAN
Default route to the internet
No firewall rules
Windows DC/DHCP, etc.
Side 2:

HAP ax Lite LTE
Bridge with EoIP tunnel, WLAN, and LAN port
The EoIP tunnel is up. Only when I changed the bridge from "proxy ARP enabled" to "local proxy ARP" was I able to send data through the EoIP tunnel.

However, on Side 2, I always have to assign an IP address manually because it does not receive one via DHCP. When I check with the sniffer on Side 1, I can see the DHCP requests on the Ether1 interface, but there are no responses. As soon as the computer is plugged into Side 1, it gets an IP address.

Once I set the IP manually, everything works fine.

I don't understand why the DHCP packets are not being forwarded.

In my first EoIP test setup, I didn’t need to enable "local proxy ARP"—just having "proxy ARP enabled" was enough.

But more importantly, I need to find out why the DHCP packets are visible in the sniffer but are not being forwarded to the network on Side 2.

Thanks for your help!
