General • SFP link b/w Cisco Nexus N9K and Mikrotik 2216

Hello,

I’m running into an issue with connecting Mikrotik 2216 and Nexus N9K.

I have tried the following SFP Form Factors:

SFP28
QSFP+
QSFP28
QSFP28 x4 Breakout

None of the above work, I can see RX signal well within range on both ends. Have tried auto-negotiate and manual to no avail. Have also tried enabling FEC91 on MT side.
I’ve also tried x4 breakout mode in cisco with the QSFP28 and have also tried a QSFP x4 breakout module.

When I try to loop these SFP connectors in the Cisco the ports come up, same for the Mikrotik (if looped the ports come up).

The only module that seems to work is SFP+

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
