I have a Mikrotik 5009 and a 26-port managed switch. I'm trying to setup the router on a stick configuration, but instead of one trunk I'd like to setup 2 trunks, one for each of my 2 vlans (VLAN10 and VLAN20).
My goal is to have the following vlans for the ports on the switch:
Ports 1-13 --> VLAN10
Ports 14-24 --> VLAN20
Port 25 --> ether2 (trunk for VLAN10)
Port 26 --> ether3 (trunk for VLAN20)
On the switch, I have the following configured:
VLAN 1: Ports 25-26 untagged
VLAN 10: Port 25 tagged, Ports 1-13 untagged
VLAN 20: Port 26 tagged, Ports 14-24 untagged
On the Mikrotik, I setup the following to the default config:
Bridge --> VLAN --> Added bridge, VLAN 10, tagged ether2
Bridge --> VLAN --> Added bridge, VLAN 20, tagged ether3
Interfaces --> + VLAN: Name: IPCams, VLAN ID 10, Interface = bridge
Interfaces --> + VLAN: Name: SwDevices, VLAN ID 20, Interface = bridge
IP --> Addresses --> +192.168.10.1, Interface = IPCams
IP --> Addresses --> +192.168.20.1, Interface = SwDevices
IP --> DHCP Server --> DHCP Setup: Interface = IPCams, Address space = 192.168.10.0/24, Gateway: 192.168.10.1
IP --> DHCP Server --> DHCP Setup: Interface = SwDevices, Address space = 192.168.20.0/24, Gateway: 192.168.20.1
Interface --> Bridge --> Enable VLAN filtering
Now, when I plug my computer into port 1-13 of the switch, I get an IP in the 192.168.10.X range.
When I plug my computer into port 14-24 of the switch, I get an IP in the 192.168.20.X range.
If I plug one computer into port 1-13 and another computer into port 14-24, only the first computer gets an IP. The second computer on port 14-24 gets booted and it stops working.
Here is the config:
